The west side of Kauai is empty and dry. Most of the island's inhabitants live along the east, and northern shores. This beach feels like a reoccurring dream I used to have as a child...I was seated in a small toy train, moving slowly across a large, expansive desert. Kauai is no desert, although the west side is extremely dry, but the emptiness and dream-like quality remain the same between my childhood dream and this west side Kauai beach. 16" X 20"
