Original artwork description:

This work was part of a series that were inspired by the similarity between Japanese characters and Christian symbolism. While Kami in Japanese can mean paper or a god. It seems interesting to make this correlation between symbolism and god.

The work was exhibited at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum a part of a UNESCO Friendship exhibition, in 1990. I was living and painting in Japan at the time and this 3 piece artwork was one of the important works, and has been held in the "White Collection - Japan 1988-1992" and is now available for purchase.

The work is in three panels, Kami 1, Kami 2, and Kami 3.

A Certificate of Authenticity with hologram - verification is attached to the image.
