Original artwork description:
I love painting out in the poppy fields near my home in summer. This oil was done last summer when my local field came into full bloom.
I used impasto brushwork for the foreground poppies to help them stand out above the meadow. The figures give a sense of scale as well as reminding us how wonderful it is to wander through a field of poppies when we get the chance.
The painting is on primed board and comes to you ready to frame. It has my trademark North Down Studio stamp on the back and is accompanied by a signed certificate of authenticity.
