This is the artist's first addition to his wildlife series in 2021.
Entitled 'Jacobo' (translated to James) this Jaguar is a hommage to the artist's love of big cats while also bringing a sentimental value to the artist's intials and signature, JAG.
The abstract, jungle green backdrop makes a striking contrast to the pale yellow and golden patterns dotted throughout the cat. Black spots cover his face like strewn jigsaw pieces. These complex patterns are what make this beautiful animal so unique. Slightly bigger than the leopard, the Jaguar the third largest cat in the world.
In spirit, the jaguar is representative of power, ferocity, and valor. He is the embodiment of aggressiveness. For some, the jaguar represents the power to face one's fears, or to confront one's enemies.
