Jaap en de Bonenstaak is one of the Dutch names for Jack and the Beanstalk. He is also known as Jaak and Sjaak, among others, but his origins are English. This image was a sort of personal fantasy for me, as my own bean seedlings had not long before been eaten by slugs.
This is an original, handmade linoblock print, hand coloured with acrylic inks. Each print is therefore a unique work of art, and no two are exactly the same. If you would like to see your specific print before purchase, please contact me and I will e-mail you an image.
I take great care to ensure that my prints will last for a long time. I use only acid-free paper, printed with Van Son rubber based printing ink, and coloured with permanent acrylic inks. The image size is 10x15 cm (4x6 inches), and the outside dimensions of the mount are exactly A4 (21x29.7cm). Each print is signed along with its limited edition number (one of 50).
Images are copyright Black Prints. Copyright is non-transferable with purchase.
