Painted on a recent visit to central Italy this hot, bright floral scene was painted in the garden of a town house at Amandola. Bright flowers, butterflies, light and shade made for a busy composition, and southern light is a challenge for someone used to painting in the muted light of England. I hope I've captured something of the still, hot air, vibrant flowers and cicadas of this most beautiful of European countries.
This unframed watercolour, painted in my studio, is signed on the back. Your painting will arrive wrapped in protective paper and packed in sturdy card or in a tough postal tube.
