'Into The Night' is a black and white abstract where the focus of the work is gesture and intensity. Reminiscent of the works of Franz Kline and Pierre Soulages, this work is spontaneous and exuberant with an immediacy displayed as a result of the strong brushwork and markings. There is minimal adjustment after the initial paint placement and so what one sees is authentic and inspirational.

The painting continues along the edges of the canvas and so some of the edges are black and other parts are white. This work is signed only on the back so as not to disrupt the aesthetic.

This painting has been created using professional acrylic paint and is sold unframed, ready to hang with wire attached.
