Artist's description:

Work in red with abstract forms that were generated using a process that reminds me of intaglios done by fine shallow carvings on a pliable surface. I chose to carve the form out of a thin layer of acrylic and mounted on the surface of the painting in a sort of reverse process to the traditional intaglio method.
My primary objective for this work was to further define the abstract forms in an environment that is predominantly red. Red is a color that I seldom use as an over all color and have tried to use it in recent works. Additionally, this work is a continuation of my exploration of imaginary form and imagery.

Materials used:

Acrylic ink, acrylic gel medium and acrylic paint
