Artist's description:

Throughout the year American Indian nations hold many "Gathering of Nations" or powwows. Tribal costumes and dances from each group highlight the celebrations. This painting is a parody of the contemporary individuals that dress and decorate their face and bodies with what they believe is authentic. Usually, the colors and extravagant costumes far exceed the original American Indian tradition. This paint, one of the "Indian Series" is intended to show the power of the colors and to highlight the modern Indian culture.
