Original artwork description:

The painting is a study from a movie still. The Impossible is a film which re-enacts the moment the Tsunami hit Thailand. It captures the moment the Mother is dragged under the water and for that split second, in a moment of serenity, is presented with a choice. The painting is grey-tone with a layer of cadmium yellow glaze on top - the colour yellow chosen symbolically and stands for optimism [psychology], counteracting the scene.

Adam has created a small series of these paintings which you will find on this site - each exploring this moment from different angles and close ups.

Materials used:

Oil Paint on Canvas
