Artist's description:

This listing is for a large abstract watercolour painting on paper. It is an important transitional work, as I move to experimenting in a more abstract and non-representational style. I am enjoying experimenting with the freeness and liberty of abstraction. I like the contrast between spontaneous mark-making and splashing, with clear and crisp lines. For me this painting speaks of the impermanence experienced in daily living. Things, images, people arise and then fall away again. Nothing is ever stable or static, but perpetually in the process of change and transformation. It is one of the beautiful things of life.

I am loving starting these paintings with plant-based pigments. They give a depth and beauty to the work, not found in regular and manufactured paints.
