Artist's description:

This image reflects a scene encountered in an ally in Antibes, France, with a stenciled image of a female face apparently guarding two government signs. I have been told the colloquial meaning of the top sign is "No Dumbing," while the small circular sign indicates bicycles are prohibited. This scene captured my attention because of what I perceived as the mysterious, over-seeing expression on the female face. This image is a part of my "Restricted Attention" series.

Materials used:

This photograph was created from a Kodak Tri-X negative scanned with a Nikon Super Coolscan 8000 and processed via Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop before being printed as a giclee on archival 100% cotton rag fine art paper.
