Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

This is a July 1997 photograph of a tiger keeper attempting to interact with a tiger under her care and supervision at Zoo Praha in Prague (Praha), Czech Republic. This image is from a series entitle "Behind the Scenes at Zoo Praha" I completed while studying documentary photography at the School for Photographic Studies in Prague during the Summer of 1997. At the moment of this photograph, the keeper was attempting to talk with the tiger in a very low and pleasing tone. However, the tiger continued to act as if it was ignoring the keeper. Shortly after this image was captured, the tiger did turn to face and peacefully interact with the keeper. I'm was not sure if the tiger simply was ignoring the keeper or if my presence and the tripping of my shutter distracted and/or annoyed the tiger.

Materials used:

This photograph was created from a Kodak Tri-X negative scanned with a Nikon Super Coolscan 8000 ED and processed via Adobe Lightroom and Adobe Photoshop before being printed as a giclee on archival 100% cotton rag fine art paper.
