Artist's description:

My recent series of drawings combines tempests, tornadoes, and rainstorms with elements of the sacred. Gold leaf, ultramarine pigment, and the Italianate arch - reminiscent of early altar pieces - all point to the idea that the images are a sort of prayer made visible. Sparkling gold shapes are juxtaposed upon deep passages of black charcoal in search of the magic accident.

The work is sold matted and framed in an archival acid-free matte.

Materials used:

charcoal and mica powder on paper
