Artist's description:

One of a series of three linocuts on textile exploring the role of chance in art.

I began with a bag of vintage scraps, which I stitched together by hand to make an abstract, unplanned pattern -hence the title. I then cut the constructed fabric into three pieces, and mounted each onto plain calico before overprinting in dark blue ink with an image inspired by the dragon on an antique chinese vase.

The piece in this listing is framed; there is another listing with an unframed variant.

Materials used:

Found fabrics, thread, oil based printmaking ink
