Artist's description:

This was a model that was a dancer with the Ballet Folklorico in Mexico.
She exudes a sense of easel, surety, and optimism, and some healthy, warm earth tones and thick, dark sure lines along parts of her body,
which have to contend with parts drawn less definitively, with more agitation, and blue merging with a background painted predominately blue.
All in all: youthful optimism facing off a slightly uneasy, perhaps foreboding future.

Materials used:

acrylic, rhoplex, charcoal and fixative
