Original artwork description:

Hummingbird Blue was the second painting inspired from Brazil. I fell in love with the country and its diversity. The high concentration of flora and fauna in their natural environment were simply stunning. The hummingbirds were so incredibly beautiful, I had to bring them into my art. I love the mix of contemporary with fine art.

I used the influence of art deco in this piece, keeping it minimal but dramatic with a bold flat background. The combination, of block colour and fine detail, in the flowers and hummingbird, are a great contrast against each other. Alongside the contrasting blues and pinks.
