Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

Uncultivated hops grows wild in my yard. I fantasize that a previous owner was a Master Brewer. This painting is part of a series based on the Agrarian calendar. In old agrarian cultures there was a plant to represent each month. Hops is the 'Herb' for October. The painting is varnished to enhance the beauty of the color, and fine linen texture. It comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, and is ready to hang.

Materials used:

oil paint on linen on 1.5"x 2" wood stretcher, Damar Varnish finish
