Artist's description:

One of a series of portraits inspired by sketches of women in and around South Wales and combining graffiti lettering with the female faces. Drawing on beaches and in cafes, I created a series of paintings based on the sketches, using words of empowerment and positivity to provide depth and context. Her hair is the focus, important in many cultures for spiritual well-being, health and energy.
The ‘light’ represents our ongoing search for fulfilment and spiritual well-being.
I sign my work 'Unity' a name I also use when dancing - unity of self, and my hope for the world around me.
