Artist's description:

The Animal in Me was inspired by the cut up technique, used by many writers and artists to create an image or text out of parts of a cut up whole. The parts are rearranged in a way which is pleasing to the artist and usually results in a new meaning, not attached to the meaning of the original text or picture the work was cut up from. The following collages were made with this technique, mostly inspired by the writings of Simone de Beauvoir, Marquis de Sade and Georges Bataille.
