Being at home is not just having a roof over, but it means different things to different people. A mother's lap, a lover's caring assurance or just being with your own people is what we call being home, the basic need of every being to be home. Lockdown due to pandemic was declared quite as a surprise and the lowest level working class was hit worst in India. With a 'no work no pay' policy these people couldn't sustain themselves in the big cities. They come from far off places in search of livelihood..
Then started the mass movement of these people from one state to another. Since all transportation came to a halt, they decided to walk down to their hometown. Sometimes home was 1000 kilometers. Many people could never make it to their home and died during the journey. That being one scenario the other was so many people lived pathetic life in golden cage. They just didn't belong under the roof of so called home and they couldn't run away even for a few hours of the day. Pandemic hit different sections of society differently in India. It was a pathetic time to be a witness to so much of pain. Homebound journey or homebound people, both understand the importance of home....did you ever feel homeless?
May everyone have a place called home where they live happily forever ππ πππ
