Artist's description:

The air we breath is viscous with molecules. At the atomic level, it is difficult to discern the end of an object and the beginning of open space. Electromagnetism is the key, but there are other forces at work around us. One cannot "discern" at all without use of the senses and the senses themselves are irrelevant without energetic forces to activate them. My work explores the concept of heightened sensitivity to these forces, specifically to light and sound waves. If we could see "air" or "sound" how would it look? The sound and light waves passing through the atomic sea of the air would create ripples and floating morphing pockets of tone refracting the light waves inhabiting the same space. The result would be prismatic, aqueous, and polytonal: a truly transensual experience
