This Ink on Brown Paper drawing is one of a pair done “en plein air” in the foothills of San Jose, California. I had passed these trees a few times and really liked the way the late afternoon Californian sun shone on them and cast shadows on the hillside. I hiked to this spot and set my easel up to draw one bright sunny afternoon. I included a vulture in one picture as there were a few circling overhead as I drew. I used Ink on brown paper as the dry hillside is quite close to this colour and I wanted to focus on the shading and shadows of the trees rather than the natural colours.
A note to International Buyers:
Shipping rates have increased in price all around the world due to Covid and other complications. Due to this I have had to increase the the cost of shipping my artworks in line with the Delivery Companies. I will always strive to find the cheapest possible option for the customer (usually my local POST OFFICE EMS Recorded Delivery, but unfortunately they don’t deliver worldwide at the moment) If the amount of shipping charged at purchase is less than the shipping company charges then I will refund the difference to the customer. This refund will be done after the picture has arrived safely and has been accepted.
Any import duties, taxes and charges that may be payable are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges, if applicable, will be the responsibility of the buyer. Please message me to check if this might affect your purchase.
