Artist's description:

This painting was inspired by the amazing Early Neolithic religious sanctuary of Gobekli Tepe, Turkey, which has been called the 'world's oldest temple' (c.9200 BC). Most of the animals and other design motifs that you can see are based on carvings found on the monumental T-shaped pillars that were erected at the site.
