Artist's description:

High White Fen is an idea, not a location. In Winter, when there is a light covering of snow on the fields, the pathways of the plough are revealed, irregular markings, constrained by scrupulous hedgerows and the laws of perspective. There are no high fens in Cambridgeshire, only a gentle rise and fall of the earth, almost subliminal, to be measured in micro centimeters. A mere notion of altitude.

Materials: Oil on canvas, Paper, PVA, Graphite stick, Earth, ripped, torn, dragged, gouged........
