This sculpture is inspired by the Hereford Cattle that live in a field neat my home in the Yorkshire Dales. There is a bull there who stands solidly among his ladies quietly and calmly. The bulk and strength of these animals is breathtaking, I never get tired of seeing a handsome bull.
He is made by twisting and weaving individual strands of various gauge non-tarnish copper wire to gradually build up the shape of a hefty, handsome magnificent bull, that would look striking in any environment.
The wire portrays the strength of such a creature, while the intricate patterns allowing light to pass right through illustrate the fragility within all animals.
Non-tarnish Copper wire.
