Artist's description:

Still life with two jugs, one with mimosas and one with blue hyacinths and a lemon.

This still life is part of a series I have been working on recently. They are all painted from life and staged in a shadowbox I have set up in my studio space. These smaller paintings allow me to experiment with different light and other effects, such as the transparency of glass for example.

Here I wanted to portray the optimistic vibe of an approaching spring.

The painting is sold unframed, but would need a frame. (One suggestion for framing paintings on slimmer panels such as this one would be to look for photo frames as well - if you take away the glass and maybe the backing as well, the board should fit nicely). Should you have any questions regarding the framing, please do get in touch - I'd be glad to help.

Materials used:

artist's grade oil paint; gessoed MDF
