Forever, the sea is rolling and splashing against the cliffs.. Here in Sussex, UK, the effects of the tides, wind and rain on the coast line are very visible. This ongoing process of erosion is constantly changing our coast.
The painting 'Towards the Cliffs' is part of a series of watercolours, and also etchings, that expresses my interpretation of theses natural events.
The Sussex coast line is a major inspiration in my work. The point where sea and land touch holds an endless fascination to me.
This watercolour painting is 33cm x 35cm in size, it is painted on Saunders Waterford paper.
