Title: Hebridean Pastels

There are days when you just want to look at the world through rose tinted glasses. When only soft flowing lines and pastel shade suit your mood. Mist over rolling hills in a distant place, where memories get lost and you are transported to another time where all is still and peaceful.

A thoughtful piece made on the Isle of Harris. A single image in the camera with very little processing just to smooth things out a little. I love creating these mood filled pictures, it is almost as if the picture creates itself out of pure emotion.

Giclée fine art paper print with approx 2 inches white border.
This is the 24 inch print with a 20 inch image.

About My Work

About My Materials
People often say that my images look like paintings because of the richness of the colours, the depth of the black and the texture of the materials I use. Canson are one of the oldest paper manufacturers in the world, they have been making paper for over 450 years in France. Founded in 1557 and printers to Louis XVI, their paper was used by Voltaire and Napoleon and the Montgolfier brothers used Canson paper to make the first hot air balloon. Canson paper was used by Picasso, Ingres, Chagal, Miro and many other artists.
