Original artwork description:

We'd all love a simpler life with aspirations of peace and harmony. Fishing, fetching water and working the field( in this case with no underwear) . Well it is from my imagination and I do remember being told when i painted a medieval scene for a commission that the peasants wore no pants! Its amazing what sticks in your mind. Back to the painting, it is painted using organic gesso made from rabbit skin on a deep edge canvas. The island is built up using this traditional gesso using the same techniques for raised work on Chinese and Japanese furniture. From a distance this looks like an abstract but is an island of my imagination.
