Artist's description:

Consuming the sky,
Standing by the lake,
This natural wild place,
Of beauty.

Words and feelings of being here at the back of Studland ,where there is a freshwater lake and the Heath behind in South Dorset.
I venture here every season and every year this nature reserve gives me the heathland of many colours ,dramatic skies and the water element.
I used many layers of colours using a dragging and blending technique with my filbert -sable haired brush to create a moody, romantic scene that I love.

Materials used:

Rough textured watercolour paper acid free Bockingford 190lb,kolinsky sable haired brush and a filbert hogs hair brush,Holbein watercolour paints,Water,

Heath ,lake ,reeds. (2018)
