This small piece started as an abstract, but then the wee Poison Arrow Dart Frog seemed to leap onto the leaf of the canvas.
My late mother adored Blue Poison Arrow Frogs. She loved their tiny and weird, vivid beauty, combined with their deadly power. She didn't realise it herself, but I think she appreciated the power that these small creatures had, and how they reflected her own stunning strength.
