Original artwork description:
'Happy Are They' is an original drawing measuring 85mm x 168mm in size. 'Happy Are They' has been drawn in pencil and ink and is one of the smallest studies I have done and it has to be said, one of my favourites!
Texture and detail has been added with the skinniest of pen nibs which creates lots of detail to look at. I love to experiment with abstract shape and pattern within a drawing and my imagination meanders in a happy way as I draw using words to tell a small tale within the work.
This study shows a little hare sitting on words, surrounded by words....'Happy are they who take life day by day and are happy for the little things....tiny little words of wisdom...floating in the air'...so they are :)
