Artist's description:

This is a large photo-based oil painting. It is inspired by he work of Paula Rego. This painting is based on an image of actress Hanna Schygulla. Here she is "transplanted" into the vegetation of Ein-Karem in Jerusalem, where plants have thick and juicy leaves and sun is harsh and hot. She is completely out of her usual context here, which is what I was intrigued with at the time this painting was made. The result brings memories of an alternative Garden of Eden. This painting is framed (a black floater frame).

Materials used:

oil paint
