Artist's description:

The Shark Trust was established in 1997 to provide a voice for sharks in the UK. Today they are a well-respected advocate for shark management and protection and part of a global collaborative movement in shark conservation; working to safeguard shark, skate and ray populations through positive change.

This painting is of a beautiful Hammerhead shark. Hammerhead sharks are consummate predators that use their oddly shaped heads to improve their ability to find prey. Their wide-set eyes give them a better visual range than most other sharks. And by spreading their highly specialized sensory organs over their wide, mallet-shaped head, they can more thoroughly scan the ocean for food.
This painting is A2 (16.5 x 23.4 in) size.

I paint wonderful animals and sell each piece in aid of relevant conservation charities. Each painting is researched and painted with care to make sure of accuracy and character. Each piece is shaded carefully with acrylic paint using an airbrush, and then details are added using chalk pencil and Prisma coloured pencils.

Materials used:

Acrylic, coloured pencil, chalk
