Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

The Halcyon Bird is an imaginary bird that exists only on the pages of medieval bestiaries. It was thought that they laid their eggs at sea and that the sea was calm until the eggs hatched, which is the origin of the phrase 'halcyon days'.

This print is in a limited edition of 50. It has been hand printed using oil-based inks on British-made 300gsm Somerset paper. All prints are individually numbered and signed.

Minor variations occur naturally through the printmaking process and each print is original.

This print is unmounted and unframed.

Each print is board-backed, wrapped in cellophane and packaged carefully for shipping.

Materials used:

300gsm Somerset paper, oil-based inks, linoleum
