Question for the artist?

Artist's description:

This painting combines a figure of a Pagan European wild man with an Elis Island immigrant with a beachscape from Grayton Beach, Florida- the place I emigrated from to Middlesbrough, UK. The text is a repetition of the side show style used in my work from this series: Freaks, Guides and Visitations. ‘Alive’ is the hope that all migrating peoples may find themselves upon arrival to their new destinations, along with all survival needs- and that’s just a start. This painting is hung between two wooden dowels- like a wall hanging- perfect for the traveller, just roll it up and go!

Materials used:

acrylic paint, sand on canvas
