Artwork description:
Grounded was created as we were coming out of the first Lockdown in the UK. It was produced as a response to our local Arts Service, who wanted to have an exhibition that reflected local artists reactions to Covid and the Lockdown.
There are a series of videos on my Instagram feed that will explain how it was made. @sueroe1372
It represents the branches of a tree reaching out connecting, touching other branches in much the same way as people reached out to each other during Lockdown and represents how the community pulled together and offered support. The title Grounded is a play on words -There is nothing more grounded than a tree and we were all ‘grounded’ or that’s what it felt like!
It is no. 2 of an edition of 19.

Somerset cotton paper, Caligo inks
