"Suddenly, the pain vanished. Laying there at the brink of unconsciousness, I struggled to readjust to my surroundings. She lay there, cold and still. They all did. The air had become cold enough to see my breath with every pant. But, I realized all at once that my mouth was the only one exhaling. I stumbled to her, trying everything to bring her back but she was gone. Love, happiness, joy, peace - all of it was inverted in the blink of an eye. I wept, screaming in agony, deeply feeling and breaking with every sound.
