This painting developed as a side-effect of reading 'DanceDance Dance' by Haruki Murakami. The Picture Combine my visions of Japan with the familiar world around me. I was invited to attend to Tokyo Book Fair with my catalogue 'Colourful Waiting' and to travel there I answered timidly that this was my only catalogue, whereupon M Ohshiro Mamiko blankly replied 'But you have a catalogue', in this case it would be even more important to go there myself. He is right but I stayed at home still to retain my viion of Japan.
Painted for my Exhibition in Rome in 2006, on a canvas-wrapped frame, edges painted; so you don't need to frame it; tags and string on the back;
oil on canvas
