Green Whisper is an abstract color field acrylic painting on paper mounted on canvas. It is composed of delicate, intuitive layers of acrylic paint. Measuring 24 x 18 in (61 x 45.7 cm), Green Whisper combines subtle elements of the earlier layers of paint with organic nature and the later layers of paint that reveal a simple, minimalistic composition.
It was created in 2023 to commemorate the 20 new paper paintings to celebrate the transition from winter to spring. The colors chosen are sage green and sepia brown which create a serene and calming atmosphere. The timeless color palette adds to the organic subtleties of the painting and provides a deeper feeling of emotion. The later layers of paint give a feeling of movement and direction, which creates a complex play of textures and colors. In the end, this work offers a beautiful and meditative view of the changing season from winter to spring.
