Grande Autumn Shizzle is a five by four foot enlargement of a 20" x 16" mini I did in 2014. So loved, I had to do it again. An extremely light lavender edge wash is glazed over with a celadon and then a pale peach sky. I used a huge house painter's brush and then created the horizontal forest base with Pthalo, Hooker's and Turquoise greens. I scratched into that base here and there to indicate some forest underbrush. Next, some vertical aquamarine blue and lightened cadmium magenta for the tree backgrounds with and and life to foreground bushes. My favorite tool, the sharp edges of palette knife comes in here to add fullness to the trees and life to the shrubs with lime and orange. Where did the name come from? The 2014 mini was named "Jesen Shizzle". Jesen means Autumn in Slavic. Shizzle means Sure in street slang. It looks like it's Sizzling, and this new work is a Grande size. Fall roughly translates to For... I can't help a good word play any more than I can playing with paint. So here you have "Huge, for Sure" and "Big Autumn Sizzle" all at the same time.
I add two layers of UV protection, but as always, hang away from direct sunlight to be sure.
Grande Autumn Shizzle arrives prewired, ready to hang.
