Gothic II is one of two paintings inspired by the Gothic architecture in Prague. I have chosen a portrait format to enable me to develop the composition vertically just as the movement that dominates the whole Gothic Art - from below up to the sky and God and from the darkness to light overcoming the mundane and reaching to the heavenly.
