Artist's description:

While working in one art symposium in Poland, I drank a lot of "Sir William's" tea. This was the only brand of tea in the hotel. At the tea bag envelope there was a photo of an English gentleman sitting and drinking tea. I've noticed his calm yet strong appearance that doesn't belong to today's society, so I chose him to be an imaginary character for several of my paintings. I tried to show a human side to his restraint appearance, his inner life and I painted him with his wife at the vacation, remembering his youth, playing Bach... Or, as in this painting, peacefully drinking tea at five.

Materials used:

acrylic and collage
