Description:
“Golden Peaks of the Dolomites” was painted in the Italian Dolomites during my three-month plein-air journey across Europe in 2026. The work captures the dramatic peaks of Gruppo del Cir at Passo Gardena glowing in warm golden sunlight above an alpine meadow. Expressive palette-knife strokes, rich texture and vibrant color convey the changing mountain light and atmosphere. This painting is part of a new European plein-air series created during my journey through Prague, Amsterdam, Étretat and Normandy, Giverny at Claude Monet’s home, Paris, Milan, the Dolomites, Verona, Lake Como and Venice.
