Artwork description:

This is a variation on my previous linocut, which now shows less black, as I have cut away the central area of the vase.
It is based on a drawing of a single carnation from the garden I'd placed into a vintage 1950s vase from my collection of unusual ceramics. I have experimented with various colourings, but decided to use the bright yellow I'd used on my Snowdrop linocut, in case people wanted a companion piece. A two block lino.

Materials used:

Lino printed on Japanese Similie paper using water washable inks
