Original artwork description:

These shoes were so beautiful they were art in themselves! I loved trying to capture the metallic sheen of the gold leather but using a multitude of colours to do that. The composition is influenced by the Dutch art still-life genre, the red cloth and the black background; but the modernity of the objects themselves make this a contemporary still life.

The artwork is professionally framed in an 'old gold' gilded wood frame that brings out the red of the cloth.
