Artist's description:

This mixed media painting took many months, in fact a couple of years. It is so thick with character that you have to touch it to appreciate its life.
I found beautiful Amazonite stones from Clear Creek in Colorado that give the picture substance and semi precious gems. They are solidly placed in the thick acrylic layers, spray paint and polyurethane coatings. Yummy and luscious purples, reds, blues and many more. The turquoise paint is so thick it looks like round gemstones.
I love prospecting for gold and gems. This is as close in a painting as I have come to a true "Glory Hole."

Materials used:

amazonite semi precious gems, acrylic, spray paint polyurethane ink
