#4 from my series of glass apples paintings. I borrowed the apple collection from a friend at R Blooms florist shop in Lake Oswego, Oregon, whose husband received them as gifts each year during his employment with Apple Computer Company. I chose 12 apples from the collection to paint individually and in groups of three. I set the apples up against a white satin tablecloth and painted them from life. I wanted to create a dynamic composition and portray the beauty of the light, colors and reflections.
This is an Apple Computer Company glass paperweight. You can see the Apple insignia on the right side. It was fun to paint the patterns of color and light.
