Artist's description:

I was inspired by the news of Vanessa Redgrave and Timothy Spall shortly appearing in the film "Mrs Lowry And Son" and especially the items in The Times of London, showing L S Lowry's 1930 painting of "A Street in Stockport" which is actually Crowther Street.
After their summer and autumn outings to the English Lake District and their refreshments at the Britannia Inn in Elterwater, the charabanc was ordered again to take a winter trip to Stockport.
The long title of this piece is:
"The Ginger & White Re-Enactment Society Chapter of the Pookies Rodent Club pay homage to L S Lowry and the film makers of 'Mrs Lowry and Son'"

I imagined a coach tour of Ginger Cats stopping for refreshments in the outskirts of Greater Manchester and Stockport and suitably refreshed, posing for their re-enactment on Crowther Street.
The black & white cat's the coach driver.

Materials used:

ink lines, inktense pencils, watercolours
